Converse: Day One

Happy Fourth of July (my favorite holiday)! The first day of Converse is officially over!

I have much to catch up on, beginning with Balaton. We went with the youth group to their retreat at Lake Balaton. I had so much fun! I loved spending more time with my Hungarian friends and spending time with my American friends as well. It is sort of weird, because I'm not fully one nor the other (some of the Hungarian girls have told me I'm actually Hungarian), but other than some weirdness and not knowing how to handle a few things, everything was great. We spent some time at the lake, and we ate wonderful food, and we spent lots of fun time together. I roomed with Kriszti, Alexa's mom, who I love a lot. It was fun to spend a little more time with her.

Anyway, on Sunday we headed back to Diosd, and we prepared the Paulus House for Converse! We got up bright and early this morning to head to Paulus to start the day. As the kids came in, it was so great to see familiar faces and new ones as well! It was a great first day. All of the team did a great job. I am really proud of them. I'm excited to see what the week holds!

*I had pictures to add, but the internet is being slow, so I will add them later.
